Four goals, no winner. Fenerbahçe and SK Slavia Praha cancelled each other out in a 2-2 draw in the Champions League, a result that leaves both sides with a share of the points but little else settled.
The scoreline swung back and forth across the ninety minutes, with neither side able to find a decisive edge. Fenerbahçe will reflect on a lead let slip, while Slavia Praha can take heart from twice pulling level away from home.
Goals Flow Elsewhere
It was that kind of night across the competition. Manchester City put five past AEK Athens without reply at the other end, winning 5-1, while Paris Saint-Germain edged a seven-goal thriller of their own, beating FC Barcelona 4-2.
SSC Napoli were involved in the highest-scoring game of the round, overcoming Bodø/Glimt 4-3 in a match that swung late. Borussia Dortmund made the trip to Sabah FK count, winning 2-1, and VfB Stuttgart were held to a tighter 1-1 draw by Atlético Madrid.
Across the six fixtures, only the Stuttgart-Atlético Madrid meeting failed to produce at least ba goals, underlining just how open this round of Champions League football proved to be.
Where It Leaves Things
For Fenerbahçe and Slavia Praha, the draw means neither side left Istanbul with maximum points, a result that will sting more for the hosts given they twice had the lead to protect. Elsewhere, City and PSG will take confidence from comfortable wins, while Dortmund's away victory at Sabah FK adds another ba points to their Champions League tally. Napoli's win over Bodø/Glimt came the hard way, conceding ba goals of their own before getting over the line.
